Made in Germany

From 1887 onwards, in order to protect the English economy German Exports to England had to be marked as “Made in Germany“. What had been intended as a derogatory term developed into a quality seal.

Nowadays, this meaning of “Made in Germany” has declined – particularly with regard to mass or disposable products. In favour of lower wages and social standards, other countries are chosen as production sites.

Strictly speaking, when we say „Made in Germany“, we really mean „Made in Lobbach“, because , in order to ensure the best possible quality of our products, 90% of the production takes place on site in our factory in Lobbach near Heidelberg, with 100% of the staff coming from the area. We do not only regard the denomination “Made in Germany” as a quality seal, but also as a social commitment to our region, which we gladly assume.
